Overview Zach Jarou, MD is an Administration, Quality, Informatics, and Policy Fellow with the American College of Emergency Physicians and in the Section of Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago Medical Center where he is concurrently obtaining his MBA from the Chicago Booth School of Business. He attended the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed specialty training at the Denver Health Residency in Emergency Medicine, part of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Colorado. Dr. Jarou is Past President of the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association, a membership organization of more than 18,000 medical students, residents, fellows, and alumni, whose mission is to serve as the voice of emergency medicine physicians-in-training and the future of our speciality. His interests include human-computer interaction with electronic health records, clinical decision support, health information exchange and interoperability, data analytics, leadership development, strategy, and value-based health care.
