In addition to both primary brain and metastatic cancers, he also specializes in rare conditions such as chordoma, meningioma, and hereditary cancer syndromes. He works collaboratively with the patient and family members to develop an individualized approach.
Dr. Park’s research focuses on the development of more effective therapies that will benefit patients suffering from these conditions. His laboratory research efforts have directly been translated to clinical trials, and resulted in more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals. He has held faculty positions at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, the University of Virginia, and the National Cancer Institute prior to being recruited to the University of Chicago. He is a recipient of the Merit and Career Development Awards from the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Chordoma Foundation.+1 (773) 7023510Associate Professorprns:coAuthorOfcoauthor ofprns:emailEncryptedemail addressFaculty Rankprns:fullNamefull nameprns:hasAuthorListauthor listprns:hasFacultyRankhas faculty rankprns:hasNetworkhas networkprns:hasPublicationVenuepublished inprns:informationResourceReferenceinformation resource referenceprns:isPrimaryPositionis primary positionprns:latitudelatitudeprns:longitudelongitudeprns:mainImagephotoprns:maxWeightmaximum weightprns:mediaLinksmedia linksprns:medlineTAjournal title abbreviationprns:meshDescriptorUIMeSH DescriptorUIprns:meshSemanticGroupNameMeSH semantic group nameprns:minWeightminimum weightprns:numberOfAuthorsnumber of authorsprns:numberOfConnectionsnumber of connectionsprns:numberOfPublicationsnumber of publicationsprns:personIdPerson IDprns:personInPrimaryPositionperson in primary positionprns:physicalNeighborOfphysical neighborprns:positionInDepartmentposition in departmentprns:predicateNodepredicate nodeprns:publicationDatepublication dateprns:similarTosimilar toprns:sortOrdersort orderprns:trainingAtOrganizationeducational organizationprns:trainingLocationtraining locationprns:uniquenessWeightuniqueness weightprns:yearyearAcademic ArticleArticleDocumentbibo:pmidPubMed IdentifierAddressvivo:addressCitycityvivo:addressPostalCodepostal codevivo:addressStatestate or provincevivo:authorInAuthorshipselected publicationsvivo:authorRankauthor rank in publicationAuthorshipvivo:degreeEarneddegree earnedDepartmentvivo:educationalTrainingeducation and trainingEducational Trainingvivo:hasResearchArearesearch areasvivo:hrJobTitleHR job titleInformation Resourcevivo:linkAnchorTextlink anchor textvivo:linkedAuthorlinked authorvivo:linkedInformationResourcelinked information resourcevivo:mailingAddressmailing addressvivo:majorFieldmajor field of degreevivo:orcidIdORCID idvivo:overviewoverviewvivo:personInPositionpositionsvivo:phoneNumberphonePositionvivo:positionInOrganizationposition in organizationvivo:preferredTitlepreferred titleURLLinkvivo:webpagewebpagerdf:predicatepredicaterdf:typetyperdfs:labellabelConceptAgentfoaf:firstNamefirst namefoaf:lastNamelast nameOrganizationPersonD002817Disorders11190.980934ChordomaBryceWeirBryce Weir41.7886000000000087.598699999999993609Weir, BryceMaurice Goldblatt Professor, EmeritusRadiation and Cellular OncologyChicago60637IL4.919050.00382434426research areas0.2628790.0489476coauthor of78.223312.791760similar to1177selected publicationsD005910Disorders982850.81664GliomaD005909Disorders992540.829477GlioblastomaNational Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, NIHMDNational Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, NIH, Cell BiologyFellowshipCell BiologyMemorial Sloan Kettering Cancer CenterNYMemorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Neuro-OncologyFellowshipNeuro-OncologyUniversity of ChicagoILUniversity of Chicago, ResidencyEvanston HospitalILEvanston Hospital, InternshipLoma Linda UniversityCALoma Linda University, MDAliMansourAli Mansour41.7886000000000087.598699999999993777Mansour, AliAssistant ProfessorAuthorship 1330561131488423Jung J, Zhang Y, Celiku O, Zhang W, Song H, Williams BJ, Giles AJ, Rich JN, Abounader R, Gilbert MR, Park DMCancer researchMitochondrial NIX Promotes Tumor Survival in the Hypoxic Niche of Glioblastoma.
