AllisonOstdiekAllison Ostdiek0.000000000000000.000000000000003203Ostdiek, AllisonI have been involved with veterinary medicine with an emphasis on research since 2006. I am currently a clinical veterinarian in the Department of Surgery at the University of Chicago.
My background as a veterinarian (DVM 2010) and a researcher (PhD 2014) enables me to provide the medical knowledge needed for projects and assist with the surgical aspects. I have worked with swine cardiovascular models in industry and academia, and have an intimate knowledge of their behaviors, allowing me to judge possible post- procedural changes. I am also trained to read pathology and use a scanning electron microscope. I bring my knowledge of animals, wound healing, nanotechnology, pathology, and biomaterials to my previous and current research. I am always interested in collaborations.+1 (773) 7027838Associate Professorplugins:FeaturedVideosFeatured Videosplugins:TwitterTwitterprns:coAuthorOfcoauthor ofprns:emailEncryptedemail addressFaculty Rankprns:fullNamefull nameprns:hasAuthorListauthor listprns:hasFacultyRankhas faculty rankprns:hasNetworkhas networkprns:hasPublicationVenuepublished inprns:informationResourceReferenceinformation resource referenceprns:isPrimaryPositionis primary positionprns:latitudelatitudeprns:longitudelongitudeprns:mainImagephotoprns:maxWeightmaximum weightprns:medlineTAjournal title abbreviationprns:meshDescriptorUIMeSH DescriptorUIprns:meshSemanticGroupNameMeSH semantic group nameprns:minWeightminimum weightprns:numberOfAuthorsnumber of authorsprns:numberOfConnectionsnumber of connectionsprns:numberOfPublicationsnumber of publicationsprns:personIdPerson IDprns:personInPrimaryPositionperson in primary positionprns:physicalNeighborOfphysical neighborprns:pluginSearchableDataProfilesRNS Plugin Searchable Dataprns:positionInDepartmentposition in departmentprns:predicateNodepredicate nodeprns:publicationDatepublication dateprns:similarTosimilar toprns:sortOrdersort orderprns:uniquenessWeightuniqueness weightprns:yearyearAcademic ArticleArticleDocumentbibo:pmidPubMed Identifiervivo:authorInAuthorshipselected publicationsvivo:authorRankauthor rank in publicationAuthorshipDepartmentvivo:hasResearchArearesearch areasvivo:hrJobTitleHR job titleInformation Resourcevivo:linkAnchorTextlink anchor textvivo:linkedAuthorlinked authorvivo:linkedInformationResourcelinked information resourcevivo:overviewoverviewvivo:personInPositionpositionsvivo:phoneNumberphonePositionvivo:positionInOrganizationposition in organizationvivo:preferredTitlepreferred titleURLLinkvivo:webpagewebpagerdf:predicatepredicaterdf:typetyperdfs:labellabelConceptAgentfoaf:firstNamefirst namefoaf:lastNamelast nameOrganizationPersonD001807Devices592270.843433Blood Vessel ProsthesisChicago Zoological Society - Brookfield ZooLanceMiller22NnCKQfFOXVnX92QFPt+2z5/syyp7BaZQ==Lance J.
