overview Steven Shevell is the Eliakam Hastings Moore Distinguished Service Professor of Psychology and Ophthalmology & Visual Science, and a faculty member in the graduate program in Computational Neuroscience. He received an undergraduate degree in psychology and an M.S. in engineering from Stanford University; and an M.A. in statistics and Ph.D. in mathematical psychology from the University of Michigan. He is chair of the Psychology Department’s graduate program in Integrative Neuroscience. He is the founding associate editor of the Journal of Vision, former senior editor of Vision Research, the editor of the Optical Society of America's most recent edition of The Science of Color, and immediate past-president of the Vision Sciences Society.
