Nathaniel Goldin Meadow, MD, MPH is a physician of Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he has practiced as a hospitalist since 2020. His medical career bridges clinical care, ethics, and public health, reflecting a commitment to patient-centered medicine and systemic well-being. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine and School of Public Health, Dr. Meadow was a member of the Urban Medicine Program and a fellow at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics, where he explored the intersection of ethics, equity, and care delivery.
Dr. Meadow’s early research in cognitive psychology and neuroscience focused on the ways humans learn, think, and perceive—publishing award-winning work on spatial cognition and memory. This foundation in mind–body connection has shaped his clinical philosophy and his evolving interest in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy for which he completed a certificate program at the California Institute of Integral Studies in the spring of 2025. Drawing from his background in internal medicine, public health, and psychology, Dr. Meadow approaches psychedelic assisted therapy as a field with profound potential to heal trauma, depression, and existential distress, while demanding careful stewardship and scientific rigor.
As a lifelong advocate for health equity, Dr. Meadow has served as a founding board member of Men4Choice and has volunteered across Chicago’s underserved communities. Outside of medicine, Dr. Meadow is a husband, father, and card game creator who believes that healing—like learning—is as much about curiosity and connection as it is about science.
