I am a physician-scientist with an appointment as a Pathways to Independence Instructor at the Biological Sciences Division, University of Chicago. I hold an MD from Chung-Ang University and completed my Internal Medicine Residency at the Cook County Hospital. I received an MSc and DPhil in Evidence-Based Health Care from the University of Oxford, where I developed deep expertise in "research on health research," focusing on projects exploring waste and inefficiency in clinical prediction rule research. Then, I conducted projects to set priorities for a Norwegian funder by quantifying the health benefits of research proposals to Norwegian society. Currently, I am supported by a KL2 Career Development Award and a CBPR Training and Research Award through the Institute for Translational Medicine. I have three research focuses. First, I am evaluating whether research priorities about the health of older adults experiencing housing instability reflect what matters to those who are affected by research and developing methods to communicate these priorities effectively. Second, I am determining mechanisms through which housing instability influences health outcomes among hospitalized patients. Third, I am developing various strategies to reduce poor health outcomes among patients experiencing housing instability. I teach systematic reviews to early-career researchers and clinicians at the Summer Program in Outcomes Research Training (SPORT).

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
