Research Interests Developing group intervention to improve comorbid pain, insomnia, and depression. Adapting behavioral interventions for use in the medical setting. Training other health professionals in the use of brief interventions. Creating and implementing effective hospital-wide programs to increase availability of mental health services and to encourage positive health behavior change (e.g., stress management, pain management), especially geared toward underserved populations. Examining the effectiveness of these interventions for improving access, well-being, and other relevant medical outcomes.
