Dr. Edelson is a physician scientist and Executive Medical Director for Rescue Care and Resiliency. She is a nationally recognized expert of in-hospital cardiac arrest and rapid response systems, with a focus on harnessing big data analytics and innovative technology to identify subtle changes in clinical stability and integrate them into clinical workflows to prevent failure to rescue. She has received millions of dollars in federal research funding and her research has been published in over 150 manuscripts and cited over 15,000 times. Dr. Edelson graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brandeis University with Highest Honors in Philosophy. She attended the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine where she was inducted into the Alph Omega Alpha honor society. Following her residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago, she completed a research fellowship in Resuscitation Science and was an inaugural Hospitalist Scholar, during which time she also completed a Masters Degree in Health Studies. In addition to her work at UChicago, Dr. Edelson is the Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder of AgileMD and was named by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the Women in Medtech to Know. Additionally, she is the former Chair of the American Heart Association (AHA) Get With The Guidelines Resuscitation Adult Research Task Force and currently serves on the AHA Resuscitation Systems of Care Advisory Group.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
