Overview Anita Blanchard, MD has devoted her career to well woman care and excellence in education. She has served as the Ob/Gyn residency program director at University of Chicago since 2004. She leads a number of residency and community-based initiatives. Her clinical interests include midlife transitions of menopause, well woman preventive care, cancer survivorship care, treatment of vulvar disorders and management of abnormal Pap tests/cervical dysplasia
Promoting the highest quality health standards and advocacy for women is her focus. She is involved in the residency accreditation process as a member of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Residency Review Committee (RRC) for Obstetrics and Gynecology and the CREOG education committee. She is also interested in certification of physicians and serves as a board member for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2015. She is a founding board member for the Society of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology (SASGOG) an organization created to facilitate leading edge treatments, enhance the delivery of clinical care, support education and scholarship, and foster excellence in research.
