Seven patients will be enrolled into the study. Islets isolated from deceased donors will be transplanted into Sernova Cell Pouch implanted into abdominal muscles. Patients will require standard immunosuppression medication to main islet function. Each patient will receive up to 2 islet transplants into the Pouch and one islet infusion into the liver, if necessary.
