Hannah Matthews, MD, is an assistant professor of Medicine and general internist at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She currently serves as the assistant clerkship director of the Internal Medicine clerkship. She completed both medical school and Internal Medicine residency at the University of Chicago. She is a recent graduate of the Medical Education Research, Innovation, Teaching, and Scholarship (MERITS) Fellowship and is highly dedicated to medical education in both UME and GME. Her research has explored quality improvement efforts and curriculum design, specifically regarding ambulatory handoffs in resident clinic. As a clinician, Dr. Matthews is passionate about providing high-quality care to urban underserved populations. In addition to her own primary care practice, she also precepts residents and medical students and attends on the inpatient general medicine resident service.
