Dr. Gilmer Rodriguez is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Association of Physician Leadership. He holds the designation of Certified Physician Executive and possesses a Master of Medical Management degree as well as a Master’s degree in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Rodriguez serves as the Director of the University of Chicago Post-Discharge Clinic and the Pre-Med Transitional Care Program. Over the past 20 years, he has occupied numerous board, executive and senior management roles within nonprofit, for-profit, and governmental organizations. He has employed transformational and collaborative leadership to motivate leaders, providers, and staff to align their needs and objectives with the strategic goals and balanced scorecards of these organizations and institutional accreditations. In an era marked by uncertainties in federal and state reimbursement, hospital payer mix, value-based care reimbursement, constrained operating budgets, and the demand for enhanced patient experience, as well as the implementation of AI innovations, lean processes, quality, and cost-efficiency, Dr. Rodriguez brings a wealth of experience to navigate these challenges.
